The 60, 80, 90 Campaign is the all important legislative initiative focused on critical need to get AND keep the best teachers in Tennessee because a good teacher is the single most important ingredient in student achievement.

In order to meet this goal, Tennessee must improve teacher salaries and benefits. Otherwise, we cannot compete. Tennessee must take action to:

60 — Pay a livable retirement benefit of at least 60%, rather than the current 48%.
80 — Pay 80% of medical insurance costs.

90 — Raise the BEP salary funding level to at least 90% of the national average teacher salary.
